and so the wedding drama begins.. ((Long))

ok, so, my cousin who i dont like decided that, before she was even engaged, was getting married 4 months before me right after she found out what my date was..

well, she KNEW what my wedding date was and yesterday she decides to randomly ask me when my date was so we werent planning on the same day... i went on to tell her she was being inconsiderate and i think what she did was rude...

well, she says that i should just be happy that she isnt planning it it august or september like her FH wanted to (mine is october) ... and i was just like well, all im saying is you are being inconsiderate and everyone in the family agrees with me.. then i tried to stop it and i said, i dont care anymore...im gonna keep my opinions to myself and you can keep yours to yourself and we will continue to not communicate like we havent for the past how many years...

that wasnt enough for her.. she went on ther call me an ungrateful b!tch who thinks the world revolved around me...she told me that i was jealous of her and im afraid that she is going to get something more or extra for having her wedding before mine and that if she would have planned it four months after i wouldnt be acting like this.

i wanted to remain calm but i couldnt. first of all, she is dirty. and im not joking..she doesnt shower and she always smells, she has also gained about 60 pounds in the past 1 year and a half.. she is huge. (not that ihave anything against over weight people, but she is just gross)....i proceded to ask her what i was jealous about? the way her fat disgusting as$ is going to look in a wedding dress?!?! --- ((it made me feel good))

she is also telling lies about me. she told my gram and pap i said something about them and she told my cousin i said somehting about her... thank god they know me better than that..

UGH!!!

ugh i am sorry you have to deal with this! she seems really immature. I think your best bet is to take the high road. Just ignore her and go about your wedding planning. You don't need drama on top of the stress of wedding planning!

She sounds crazy!! Just ignore her...and don't stoop to her level (even though it feels good). You can only control how you act, try to be the bigger person (not literally )

Wow- she sounds like she's insecure and is doing this all for attention. You know that your wedding will be much more fabulous than hers!

This is a tough spot to be in. Has there always been competition between the two of you? I agree with those that said she is insecure and jealous. I think you have 2 choices here. One - (I root for this one) Make a mends with family. You are blood and that has to account for something. You don't have to be best friends but she will be at your wedding and having a civil relationship will put you at ease on your day. Try talking to her and expressing your concerns about the date of her wedding. Be the bigger person and acknowledge that the two of you said hurtful things and that you want both of your days to be special and memorable with NO drama. Explain what she could do to make you feel less angry about things. Your second choice is to just ignore her and go about your business planning things. Don't put to much energy into being angry. Its exhausting. This sounds like Bride Wars. Ha Ha. Good luck!

I understand how you must feel...but do you think she really did it to spite you? I knew way before I was engaged that I wanted to get married in Nov of 2010. My cousin got engaged before me and booked for Sept. While some of my family members thought I should space it out more...I really wasnt going to give up my wedding dreams b/c someone else beat me to the punch.

It seems like you have a bad relationship with your cousin...which might make it harder to swallow. But it is 4 months apart...which gives people plenty of time to forget about hers and get excited for yours.

Also, your wedding is nearly 2 yrs away. It's hard to expect others to not get married before you b/c of the time. I know if any of my family orfriends get engaged soon..they will likely have their wedding first b/c they dont want as long of an engagement as I did.

Are you upset b/c hers is before yours? Would it have been different if she booked after? Personally, I'd rather mine be after...so it's the last thing everyone remembers! :)

Hope you dont get mad...just trying to help you see the other side of it. It's not worth getting upset over...you'll just make yourself crazy. : )
