And the Budget is Rising!

I made an excel sheet to keep track all of my wedding expenses and estimates. I have only booked my wedding venue and photographer and I am seeing some scary numbers already. Who is in the same boat??

I sure am. Our original budget was adjusted once we found out how expensive everything is. Things seperately dont seem so bad but when u start adding it up its like OMG

this is how I feel! When we booked our photographer, I'm like oh this isn't bad. FH was like uh, yes it is! I'm like nah. He keeps telling me he wishes he could see it the way I do! Lol. But like I told him, I went in knowing about how much I wanted to spend, so I haven't been too shocked yet. I am definitely not looking forward to seeing the final bill for the RH though

I have an excel spreadsheet too and it makes me a little nervous to look at it! I cant believe how much everything costs, I was just looking at it yesterday to see if I can trim anything.

my budget excel sheet scares me.
also, i made another that tracks when the money is coming in (based on my planned savings) and when it is going out. we are totally screwed! lol!

I think that I got a little lucky in this sense, I booked my date around next years spring vacation and so the price per. plate is less than what i thought before i started looking. This allowee me to go for the upgraded rh and i have started asking vendors for discountsbecause its offseason, they have eirher taken a percentage off or thrown things in. Dont be afraid to 'haggle' and shop around, I know most of you are more experienced then me bit I have certainly shopped around in many areas. P

The price just for the venue surprised me and they were reasonable! Adding up tips and everything is what shocks me!

Centerpieces?? Who needs centerpieces anyway??? lol Yes, this is how I feel. Even the DIY project I am looking at seems to cost too much for this!!

I am in the same boat as the rest of you. Before I had any idea what vendors cost, I budgeted about 1K for photo (including video!) and 1K for DJ and even less for flowers.... Boy was I in for a shock. ;) The only thing that seemed on target was my budget for the ceremony and reception hall... Westbury Manor is the best!
