They are releasing the video from Waldbaums where they bought the turkey in a press conference at 3PM ... hopefully they will be recignized and ratted out.

there are always kids throwing stuff over the overpass on the Van Wyck. We almost got creamed once with a bumper. No joke. there was traffic and we were all in the car and we were fighting all of a sudden Dh pulls to the left and this thing comes flying out of the sky. Im glad he saw it cause I didnt. The car to our left saw it to thank g-d cause if not it would have gone through our front window. This is in traffic moving at 5 miles an hour. I do hope that woman is okay though. I do not think kids think of their actions when they do things like that. Also, burns my buns

I heard about this on the news this morning...I hope this woman is ok and that they are able to indenify these idiots and convict them.

Do you think maybe there really is no tape? The fact that they are 'releasing it at 3:00' today is making me wonder. It almost seems like they are trying to scare the kids into confessing or something - I mean, why not have released it right away? I hope that is just my crazy brain thinking that though, cause I REALLY hope they can figure out who it was. That is sooo horrible!!!!

If I was one of their parents, I would seriously have to kick some major a$$!!! Can you imagine what this poor woman has to go through if she's lucky enough to survive??? Extensive reconstruction on her face, etc.?

I was at the Waldbaums last night. There were cameras, cops & the store manager outside. They wouldn't tell us what happened. I was afraid to get food incase that's what it was. Then I realized, if it was something about the food, the health dept. would be there.

Kids are very stupid these days. Maybe they need more extracurricular activities or more homework to keep them busy!

I got off of the train yesterday and 2 kids were sitting on the steps to get out of the subway station. It was rush hour and the trainlet out sooo many people but becuase they were there people had to pass insingle file. They were waving a burned t-shirt on a shick and screaming 'one dollar' in a stereotypical asian accent. Everyone ignored them but it pissed me off so much that I yelled 'WHy don't you get the hell out of the way' right in one of their faces.

Kids can be so obnoxious but when it gets violent like the turkey incident somehting has to be done.

In the spring we were stuck in traffic on the Bronx River parkway for a whilr & after it cleared, saw police somrone video taping & measuring--I knew then that someone died. It turned out kids were throwing rocks off an over-pass & a woman lost control of her car.

For the parents here--how can you prevent a child from being an idiot like this? Can you?

My instinct would be to constantly show my kids articles about things like this so they realize actions have consequence, but they may just warp them for life?
Any advice?

The trouble is the idiot parents defend their kids behavior. 'My precious child didn't do this' just like with mepham. Parents need to wake up and start disciplining their kids.

I cannot believe these kids. I feel so bad for the woman, I hope she's going to be okay! I havent seen the video from Waldbaums yet, but I hope and people will rat them out!
I caught it on the news the AM and was just in shock. It happened on Portion Road about 5 minutes away from me and I also shop in that Waldbaums once in a while!
Pray for that woman!!

I know I heard it this morning on the radio . the woman is 44 years old and she is in stable condition. man i hope she presses charge's against the kid's parent's because that is sooo wrongand make them pay for her window they broke and a fine. these kids need to take responsibilty on what they did.

So sad. I also watched the news tonight and I know the woman who's card got stolen. Her son has been in my daughter's class the last 2 years. They said she left her purse in the car Friday night at Island 16.
