Ann Taylor Dress

Has anyone tried on or bought any Ann Taylor dresses (either for the bride or the BMs)? Are they made well? Do they look as nice as they do online?

Re: Ann Taylor Dress

I'm actually planning on buying one tonight for my bridal shower... just waiting for the go-ahead from my MOH. I'm buying online so won't have it for a week or so, but I can let you know what I think when I get it if you want.

I have not...and although what I am about to say does not help you in any way...I think ann taylor has so many beautiful dresses...for both brides and BM's Before I found my wedding dress, I was in love with one on their site...and I have to say I also originally ordered my shoes for the wedding from them, but had to return them due to color and not being able to dye them, and they were so wonderful to deal with...very helpful

Re: Ann Taylor Dress

My Bridesmaids wore the diana strapless dress in black Midori Silk with the ivory sash!!

Customer service was great. The girls ordered their dresses online and had them altered. I brought them to Ann Taylor the day before the wedding and they were all steamed 'FREE of charge'

Quality was gorgeous and hte girls loed them. My sister, my MOH has hers altered to a pencil cut instead of the a-line to look different and the seamstress had no problem!

I HIGHLY recommend them!!!

I love Ann Taylor dresses, every time I have a function to go to I seem to end up wearing one of their dresses. My bridesmaid dresses are actually from there, I ordered them online and got them just a few days later. The quality of the fabric is really nice as well-pics in my album.

My BM's are wearing Ann Taylor, the dress quality is very nice, its dupioni silk in pacific blue. The only probelm i had was that the dresses were selling quickly, some sizes were not availaible and the biggest size is an 18 which didnt fit one of my BM she bought extra fabric to extend it. Everything is taken care of now!

If you order it online I have a great promo code 15% off and free shipping its '104015532' exp 3/17/08 what you can do is go to the store to try them on get all the sizes and order them online or see if they can accept the promo code inperson. Mine came out to be $168 with the promo code.

Also, they do not do alterations, but they are true to size. Good Luck!

I got the BM dresses from Ann Taylor Celebrations. The dresses are very nice, and good quality. Customer service was good, and all the dresses came with nice garment bags. I had to exchange one for a different size, and it was an easy process. They have DHL pick it up free of charge. So far, so good. The girls love them.

ETA- there's a pic in my album.

I tried on one of their bridal gowns in the city.
The sales people were not that helpful, but they did have samples in every size. I was impressed with the construction of the dress - it was really nice.

My BM's dresses are Ann Taylor Celebrations in irridescent espresso. They LOVE the dresses. We found them at the store on either madison or 5th I think.. I loved everything they had and when we got there told the girls to pick out whatever they liked. They all ended up picking out the same dress, and it looked great on everyone! The nice thing is they run pretty true to size, if not big for your size which is always a nice boost. Also, I think the only real alterations the girls will need is to hem the bottom!

Overall, I think they're great, reasonably priced and classic.

Good luck!
