Anna, I couldn't find the post, but did you ever figure out what to do for the windows in your bedroom? I have the same dilemma - the windows in the hi-ranch are small in the bedrooms...did you use any of the suggestions anyone made?

Re: Anna - Hi-Ranch Windows
We havent gotten that far The floors are being done this weekend and after that we paint and get that whole ball rolling... I really like the 'longer' drape look, so i wanna see how long I can get away with...
What are you doing?

Re: Anna - Hi-Ranch Windows
I'm torn between the longer drape look (just because I love it) and just a more simple swag/cascade combo like this: (not this color)
I would probably put the swag up higher than the actual top of the window and then have the cascade fall a bit below to maybe fool the eye..I don't know.

I was also thinking of doing that. starting it above the window to give it a bigger effect. I LOVE Sconces but im afraid my room is too small to get into that..

Re: Anna - Hi-Ranch Windows
Sorry to but in here, but I am also having the same problem. I have a hi-ranch with small windows and my bedroom windows have been curtainless since March!
I promise to post pictures once I finally decide what to do if you guys will also post
And Anna - I so agree with you about the sconces. I love them. But with all the furniture already in my small bedroom, I think it would be too much

Re: Anna - Hi-Ranch Windows
That's the problem too with long drapes...one window at this moment has furniture pretty much right up against it so it would look absolutely ridiculous.
We're looking for new furniture, but we have these butt-ugly shades that have been there since we moved in a little over 3 years ago!!!
I've also considered doing a Roman shade with a cornice over the top, but you have to love the frame around the window for that...
