Anna Lee dies at 91

Anna Lee, who has portrayed Lila Quartermaine since 1978 on ABC's 'General Hospital died Friday, May 14, 2004, of pneumonia.

That is sad but to be honest, i couldn't stand her!!! her acting was terrible!!! whenever she was on, she drove me crazy. does that mean i'm mean???

No, I know what you mean. The last several years it was painful to watch when she was on.

But it just struck me as sad cause I feel like I'd been watching her forever!

That is sad!
She hasn't been on much recently, but they always pretend she is upstairs resting. I wonder if they will do that indefinitely, or until it suits the story line.

Wow- she was 91! Alshough she wasn't' a regualr, she made apperences untill recently--that's impressive.

She actually was a very famous actor in London in her 'heyday'. Her talents were wasted on GH.

Me too! I honestly haven't watched GH in years, but 'Lila' stands out in my mind. I always thought that as an older lady, she was just so beautiful

Awww....Lila is gone. I wonder if they will incorporate this into the story line. She hasn't been on in the last 6 months or so. Before that you would see her at least every 2 months.

She was the only sane person in the Quartermaine family.

That is sad, but I am sure they will do something - I will remember when Dr. Hardy died they did a whole show for him. But then again, she is staple in the family so that might be hard to do ....

Can you tell I have been watching GH for about 15 years? LoL ... I dont watch it that much anymore - wonder what's going on
