Anna Nicole Smith died Thursday afternoon after collapsing in her hotel room in Florida, her attorney confirmed to MSNBC.

Smith collapsed in her hotel room at the Hard Rock Cafe and Casino in Hollywood, Fla., and was rushed to a hospital on Thursday. A Hollywood, Fla., fire department spokesman told MSNBC TV that the actress was unresponsive when the rescue unit arrived on the scene.

Smith was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital shortly after 2 p.m. EST and was intubated at the scene.

WOW...so young...yeah her life was pretty tragic...and her little daughter....a few months old left without a mom...

First her son dies mysteriously, and now her??? What about her little baby???

How weird... and sad for the baby....

I think someone is involved in all this, personally....

OMG! I am shocked - and I an NEVER shocked by celeb gossip. I feel very sad for her - she was a mess.

I guess Larry Birkhart will get his DNA test now

i think someone was involved to either her doctor for perscribing her those meds or maybe that Larry guy???Who wanted the DNA test

This is totally creepy. I was staring at a flag at half mast this morning while DH was pumping gas and I tried to remember the last time I was truly blown away by a celeb death. And I remembered it was Chris Penn.

And now it's her. What a tumultuous life she had. And what a sad ending.

As a matter of fact, you're wrong. Because the flagpole is actually shaped like a mast of a ship. It being Long Beach and all, a seaside community.
