Anna's Log

Anna's Log

OK, heres the deal...short and to the point for now(cant stay on long right now).

I started WW on Jan1st, so far, lost 3.5 lbs !

I did great, logging every point, until this past weekend, where I was at kiddie birthday parties, and couldnt really count points.

I did take the advice of MSCJLK/Jenn and filled up my plate FIRST withthe healthy stuff, salad, string beans, and then had little room for a small piece of lasagna and a meatball on saturday, and a small piece of eggplant rollatini on Sunday. On Sat I had a spoonful of cake (thats it !!) and on Sunday, I had NO DESSERT AT ALL ! and the party was at a little kiddie ice cream parlor type-place...I had zippo ice cream, very proud of myself !!

I just went to a playgroup and we had cold cuts for lunch. I just had some turkey breast, ham and one slice of cheese, no bread. a handful of pasta salad and skipped dessert.

My main thing is getting adjusted to being out and managing the points then..
otherwise, im doing pretty good.

Looking fwd to Friday ! Will Friday be on our log ??
or does it 'NOT COUNT'
I'll try my best !

Most of the days since Jan 1st, I stayed between 17 and 22 points. I made 22 my daily goal...

I plan to resume some exercise this week. I'll finish up my last 6 weeks @ jazzercise...

Maybe a few of us can get together to walk or rollerblade in the spring... I'd love that !

Good for you Anna...sounds like you're doing great! Since I'll be living much closer to you by the Spring, I'd love to start walking together.

I'm also considering joining Curves for Women in Smithtown...would that interest you?

Keep up the good work!

Re: Anna's Log

I lost a total of 52.5 pounds on WW.I am on it for almost a year. A big thing that kept me on track was to have one cheat night a week, I picked Saturday night and ate whatever I wanted. I found it helped a lot, as the months went by, I still have Saturday cheat night, but cannot eat that much anymore.
You r doing great.. keep up the good work!

Anna,

You are off to a great start. I think it is great how this support system is working. I am going to bank some points during the week for Friday night and eat very few points during the day on Friday.

Anna- def looks like a good start-- We have family parties almost every weekend and I have already found that I can still try anything I want and still lose weight-- so dont deny yourself that one spoonful of cake!!! you will still lose weight

Anna-
on the egg white omelette front--MY Dhmade me an omelete this weekend with one full egg and 2 egg whiteswith mushrooms, peppers, onions and FF cheese--world of difference--- and didnt add that many more points--just an idea unless of course you like all egg whites!!!which you can tell I don't!!

Re: Anna's Log

Laura that sounds great !! thanks for the idea !
I have done spinach in the omelette too.
what kind of FF cheese ? is it good ?

This brings me back to the veggie and fruit thing.
Can we just INDULGE in veggies or do we actually have to MEASURE ONE CUP ! I LOVE vegetables, spinach, string beans, carrots, etc, and I wonder if the ingredients in them are the reason that we have to measure...(sugars??) but hey its veggies !

Re: Anna's Log

Anna, my sister lost lots of weight on WW and never measured a single veggie. I for one just ate an ENTIRE head of broccoli!!

Re: Anna's Log

jenn, good because I hate measuring my veggies, i can devour all veggies, love em !

MY LOG FOR TODAY (snacked too much ! )

BREAKFAST
3 eggwhites 1
2 slices whole wh toast 2
1 cup of coffee 0
little bit of milk, and a drop of hazelnut creamer 1 (i count it as one because a cup of milk is 2 point, and 1 tbsp of the creamer is a pt, but i just have a dab of each).

SNACK
4 quakes cheese flavor (these tiny rice cakes made by Quaker REALLY GOOD!) 9 are 2 pts, but i had 4. so count it as 1 point.

LUNCH
1 can tuna 3
on whole wheat bread 2 slices 2

SNACK
1 cup cereal (special K w strawberr) 2
1 cup milk 1% 2

DINNER
Lean Cuisine meal 6

so thats my 20 points for the day.
i might have 2 more points, but i might also be GOOD all week and save some SIN points for friday's dessert !

Don't worry about your snacks - as long as they are GOOD snacks than you did GREAT today.

And, I agree...save the points for Friday!

Re: Anna's Log

I'll say once again, that I was never one to count pounds here and there. If I felt good, that was all that mattered, period, end of story... BUTTT now that I was a little heavier than I would have wanted to be when I got pregnant, PLUS some prego weight, and being weighed at every OB visit, I just have to do this with a scale to measure my accomplishments..

Week 1 I lost 3.5 lbs.
This week I lost another 1.5 lbs.

So I've lost 5 lb since New Years DAy...

YAYYYY. I hope i can keep this up for a long long time !! I cant wait to feel myself again, to feel more firm, more toned, and then it will be just in time to get pregnant again, God willing !

2 slices wheat br - 2
1 sl chese - 1 (i think its 2 pts but it was SOO THINLY sliced ! )

Re: Anna's Log

OK, I need to get back down to business. I fell off the bandwagon a couple of times, mostly when eating out

I was really feeling good those 2 weeks that I was doing great on WW, and for the past week I've been really bad on it. I havent pigged out really, but I havent counted points or been conscious of my water intake, fruits, veggies, etc...

I hope to start exercising again today and get back on. I have several days coming up of eating at friends houses, having company tomorrow nite.

Give me some words of support to get through it NO MATTER WHAT !!! (especially when DH says, 'just try this piece' )

I have kept off the 5lbs that I lost in the first 2 wks, but I should have lost a couple more this past week...

BACK TO BUSINESS !

Re: Anna's Log
