where do you live in VA? I find out next week if I'm moving - hubby might have a job offer and I've already started interviewing for teaching positions there (got an offer today in Leesburg) - and I'm going to Alexandria on Monday. We're thinking of living in Reston?

I just looked at your profile and saw your real name and that you used Deena Miller for your band...I am pretty sure it was you who gave me her name some time ago, and I am using her too!! Hello! I live in Sterling, about 10 minutes from Reston. Reston is a very nice area, lots of nice restaurants and shops, it's close to Dulles Airport, not too far from D.C. (about 30 min). Leesburg is also a nice place to live (I lived there for 2 years). It's a good deal further west than Reston, but the housing there is a little more affordable. Alexandria is a super-cool place to live. It's right in the heart of everything; close to D.C. and Reagan Airport. AlisonMt and I just had lunch there over the weekend!

Hey sweetie

I live in Lakeridge VA. Its about 30 minutes from DC. Its pretty suburban compared to the areas that are closer. Though what they call the city down here still seems a bit suburban for someone moving from NYC.


I use to live in Alexandria and I agree with the above post in that it is close to everything. I just can't afford a decent house over there.

Leesburg is really nice. We were going to buy over there.
