Anniversary Dance

What is it?

It is a dance you do instead of doing bo-k/garter tosses. You invite all the married couples onto the dance floor & the dj will eliminate them by the # of years they have been married. The couple married the longest gets the bo-k & garter. I have seen it done & it is very nice.

People do this instead of the Bouquet Toss and Garter Toss. All couple dance. Then the DJ has the non married couples sit, then all couples under 1 year, then all under 5 years, then all under 10 years and so on. The last couple standing (the one married the longest) wins. You would generally give them the toss bouquet. It is supposed to give the bride and groom many years of luck. I went to a wedding that this was done it was really nice.

I love this idea but I still like the bo-k & garter toss. What's a girl to do??

wow i like that idea better than a bo-k toss! i was never happy with the idea of singling out all the single gals, especially when some of them don't even have boyfriends...we're going to do this instead of the bo-k toss (we were never doing a garter toss to begin with)

I agree with you, I like the idea but always wanted to toss my bo-k. I guess I like the tradition.

This is what we're doing in lieu of the bouquet toss. I always hated going to weddings and being singled out as someone that wasn't married. I swore I wouldn't do this at my wedding.
