I tried doing one for my engagement! in the local Pennysaver . But they never published it!
I want to do one in Newsday for my wedding though.

I don't know maybe they are just overloaded w/ announcments. I got engaged in April so i can't see them taking that long..
what about you, did you publish anything? (or do you plan to)?

I was thinking about it. Like you, maybe the pennysaver or even newsday. Think it would be really cool. How much does that cost?

not an engagement announcement, but i want to do the wedding announcement in newsday after the wedding-i always read those every sunday, so it would be nice to see ours in there

Saw an LIW brides Newsday announcement. She was married at WM. Thought that was cool.

i think its free, w/ the pennysaver you just email someone but i think w/ newsday you have to submit an application

Ok, either I'm a total idiot or Newsday doesn't have a place on their website to do this. Hate when I can't find what I want on websites. Can't find anything on Pennysaver either. How frustrating.

Amanda, it was in the LI Life section... but here's what you were looking for:
I have no idea, but the idea of doing anything wedding related is aggravating me. We are going to look at our centerpieces on Saturday -- maybe that'll get me back in wedding mode again.
