Sooo I've mentioned here before briefly that FSIL has really been dramatic about this whole wedding thing. Brief recap: She is getting married May '10 and she flipped when she found out we were going to get married Summer '10 because its not proper etiquette for us to get married so close to her and 10 million other reasons. Finally I didn't care anymore and we just booked our date and they had to deal with it.
Today FH tells me he got their Save the Date in the mail today. It was addressed only to him. SO...for someone who was FREAKED THE EFF OUT on us about proper etiquette...don't you think she should have put my name on the freakin STD??? I'm his FIANCE after all! I know it doesn't mean I'm not invited to the wedding and both FH and FMIL think its nothing (and I'm sure it is), but TECHNICALLY...ACCORDING TO ETIQUETTE...I've been snubbed.

First I dont think it is improper ettiquite to get married the same season as someone...i think the rule is that the person who gets engaged second just has to pick a date AFTER the person who gets engaged first which you did.
About being snubbed..it sounds like she did it intentionally but it just makes her look immature and petty to your FH... i would be amused at how mad you made her for something so dumb

OMG... that is beyond rude. How can you leave off the name of your brother's fiance I get MAD when FH's random relatives (ie: third cousins) address things to 'Frank and Guest'... but this is your FH's sister!!! She obvi did it to get a rise out of you... ew.

What a mess... you did the right thing by picking a date after hers... where did she get this crazy 'no same season' rule?? And she DEFINITELY made herself look like a baby for not putting you on the STD... let her act like a child. She'll end up looking like a fool to everyone else in no time too.

I cant believe she did that!! Thats horrible! Am I remembering correctly that you posted that the weekend she is getting married you will have finals and you were tring to figure out whether or not you will go. Well if that was me.... I would use this as ,,,,well she obviously doesnt want me there, I would just worry about my finals. See- I can be just as big of a biatch as she is!

Apparently FMIL mentioned to her that there was a possibility that I wouldn't be able to make it due to finals and there was no drama about it...soooo obviously she's not all that interested in my presence.
NOT that we'll be able to afford for me to go at this point...since the hotel they chose to get married at is $300/night!! Its going to cost $1200 just to have somewhere to sleep! Where are we getting ANOTHER $700-$800 to fly me there when my presence is obviously not important??
I'm not even angry anymore, its all too freakin funny
I'm so tempted to leave her fiance off the STD I send them, but even though I'm 24 and she's 30 I'll be the adult here
