I booked my room for St. Lucia a month ago. I waited on flights because I thought they would get cheaper. However, they have become more expensive! Should I buy now, or wait until it gets closer to April with hopes of a better rate?

predicting prices of airfares is like trying to win lottery, it depends on a lot of things: one is economy (for example taxes and security charges went up this year who knows what is going to happen next year)... also, April is a popular month to travel to the Caribbean so I wouldnt expect the prices to go down too much unless the airlines are not selling well... if you finally buy it, dont check the prices anymore

Definitely keep checking every day. Airfare for our honeymoon to Jamaica was staying around $700 each and I caught it in June when it went down to $400 each.

I am going during passover, and I probably should have bought tickets already. It is such a gamble. It stinks!!!!!!!!!!!

Prices usually go up as the date nears. Happens to us EVERY year, we wait a day too long and end up paying more!
