I just found out that a good friend's sister just got married and her photographer Jimmy, who was on the contract and is also my photographer for my wedding, didn't show. I actually chose him the day I booked because I loved his work. Thank God they had two replacement people come instead. But, Fine Art never gave them a good reason why he didn't show. The two replacement photographers told her that he is just disorganized..URGH!! I don't want this happening to me (and of course anyone else who is using them)...
What do you think I should do? I am ready to switch photographers (at Fine Art) or just tell Jimmy off!!!

That is horrible and completely unprofessional. I would not have someone like that booked for my wedding, good luck!

I am really aggrevated and wish I posted on LIW's a long time ago. After seeing many others reviews/pics for different photographers, I probably would have went to a different photographer... I guess all I can do is tell my photographer that I heard this and I don't want it happening to me, unless of course, he has a legit reason.

I'd make a switch to a different photographer if you can. My logic is if I had heard of this before I never would have booked with them so you should be able to change your mind.

I would honestly contact him and voice your concern. Does it say anywhere on your contract that HE is the photographer? Maybe you can add in there you want a full refund if he doesnt show???? Talk to him.....maybe he had a legitimate reason....I would call him and tell him how you feel....

Thanks guys. Unfortunately, I already put a deposit down and my wedding is 1 month away. I don't think I can switch at this time. I am def. going to talk to him about this though. I know that I made him write on the contract, at the time of booking, that if he was not available, that someone else would replace him..but, I want a good reason, not just that he is disorganized. I don't think it says anything about him being the photographer for the day. But, also everytime I talk to him, I always reconfirm with him that he is my photographer for the day and he says 'yes.', but I guess that's no good when it's not in the contract..Thanks for your help!!
