Annoyed with photographer! Please help! x-post

So when i picked up my proofs (when they were finally ready) we spoke to the photographer about what we wanted for our thank yous. This is what i had in mind...


and this is what i got instead as a proof of the thank you

Am i missing something??? Does this even look like it was really done by a professional? I think the layout is awkward and the fading is sloppy. Maybe im just being anal. So i asked how much it would cost to do the thank yous DH and i want...their reply $50 to make it plus $2.50 per thank you....yeah okay. After spending how much money on a photographer who missed nearly HALF of my must take list, i have no fun pics with my girls, DH has one with the guys, and like i said literally missed half of the pics. Plus the fact that his pics look nothing like the samples we saw when we booked them. So then i tell the owner forget it ill do my own thank yous and he says okay. So i say well the cost of thank yous was in our contract. He says 'i can refund $50 of your money.' I am so annoyed. They switched who was supposed to shoot our wedding less than 2 weeks before then when i asked if i could meet him prior i was told no, then like i said missed almost half of my must take pics. They gave us the runaround for months as to where our pics are. We are even hiring a different photographer to do day after pics to get shots we wanted on the day of that we didnt get. Please help. Any advice or suggestions would be so appreciated.

I hate to say this...but you are gonna have to get nasty with him...the niceapproach obv isnt working. I would go in there with FH and explain what you were unhappy about with regards to the must take photos you didnt get, the photographer change 2 weeks before etc. Then you tell him you want the thank you you requested free of additional charge or you will report him to BBB. I mean this sounds incredibly unprfessional....thank yous are included *** is so so hard about the thank you you reuqested??????????? You paid a lot of money for his services and its the least he can do after all his mishaps!

I would definately complain. They didn't even come close. I would now say 'What is the matter here' or 'you think I'm going to accept this?'

When they go to fix it, I would have them email you a sample of it so that way it meets with your approval before they go to process it.

I agree with the previous ladies...I would definitely get tough with them The proof they sent you was nothing like what you wanted...I would complain again. Could you and DH go down there and meet with them in person? This way they know you are serious...I would also document everything you do and have done to get this situation resolved.....just in case you want/need to complain to the BBB (I hope you don't have to but it's an option... ).

P.S. Worst case scenario...if you have proofs you like, it is very easy to upoad them and create your own TY card at snapfish.com and shutterfly.com (and other websites). (I hope you don't have to, just another option!!)

Thats actually what i plan on doing. I figured i can recreate a thank you similar to the one i posted with our pics in a 5x7 size and print them thru walgreens for .20 each on photo paper. I'll post a pic after i finish it. Thanks girls

um...I plan on making thank yous like that as well...by myself...I advise that you do the same..they are less than $2 each...at
