I'd be highly annoyed at the 1st story. That is ridiculous. That just seemed like a bs excuse to not deal with you anymore.. makes no sense to me.

The more I'm thinking about it.. the 2nd story I'd be annoyed at that comment also! So sarcastic. Maybe they didn't mean it that way.. BUT it sure comes across that way.

I would be so annoyed with the first one...like did she not remember when her daughters birthday was!?!

And the second one sounds a little snotty but they probably didn't mean it that way.

I hope your seach for a photographer gets better!

They would both make me mad! I'm not saying that she shouldn't take off for her daughter's wedding, but she didn't remember the date before hand?? Comm'on now...

The second one I would write back 'Thanks for the response. Due to your WONDERFUL attitude, you will now be shooting ONE LESS wedding at Flowerfield.' People are such a$$holes- just have the last word and move on lol

i agree with you 100%. If I don't get treated like a bride each and every time we are in contact, I don't need that vendor. I know it sounds bratty, but there are way too many excellent vendors and we have too much time for me to stress over that.
and to be honest, I try not to bash, but when the names come up, I do mention my experiences

I would be annoyed with both situations. First, she should have already known the dates she is unavailable in 2013 since there are a lot of people booking for that year. Its honestly just a mistake, but when working in an industry like this, for the price you pay, something like that should be avoided, IMO.

The 2nd sitation would annoy me as well. It would definitely leave a bad taste in my mouth. I would continue searching bc we do have a lot of time, and why start off annoyed with a vendor when there really are so many amazing photographers!

Both of these would also annoy me. I don't understand people, sometimes I feel like they think there to good for people. I would go find a new photographer. Your going to be with these people all day you don't want any doubts or anything that might make you upset.

Story # 1: Yeah, I'd be annoyed. Didn't she know the date of her daughter's birthday before she had to look further into your date? DUH!

Story # 2: I don't think they were trying to be snobby or make a snide remark. I do think people need to realize that some things don't translate well over e-mail!!!!!

Sometimes people say and do stupid things. They don't even realize it. Maybe she would have done your wedding if you had left a deposit but maybe after thinking about it, she realized she wanted to block out the time. It's better that she told you now.

The other photog was probably just trying to make the business look better by saying 'how long' they have been around. Again, they don't even realize how they sound sometimes.
