Annoyed with Precana

So FH and I have been trying for about 2 months now to get info on precana. We want to get this over with so that it is one less thing on our things to do list.
Anyway, we called 2 months ago and they told us to call back when the time got closer. We called about 2 weeks ago and the church told us we are registered for it, but did not give us which day (it is either every Sunday or Friday night for five weeks). They gave us the number of the family that is hosting it. and told us they would know all the additional info.
So FH called every other day for the past 2 weeks and they have not called us back. Finally I called and I got ahold of them and they said they just got back from vaca. They asked if they could call us back bc they just walked in the door, and that was 2 days ago!!! This is the last precana our church is offering before our wedding so we HAVE to go. It starts soon and I want to know which day I'm going to be going so that I can start making other appointments and plans!!!! GRRRR

i had a similar problem but they finally fixed it and class begins for us on march 17th. if they mess up its their fault and they will have to accomodate you for it so don't worry.

im not sure where you live but if you have a problem contact the RVC diocese we are getting married there but anyone can do precana there..

yeah i am pissed at my church about pre cana. first off i got a call from the pre cana woman and i was in class so i called her back after and left a message. And called 3 times after that with no call back. And after a whole MONTH I finally got a call back. And the pre cana lady told me that i am kinda screwed. My church doesn't offer pre cana until May and only through Nov. W T F? Are you serious?! ANd she acted like i should have known that as well when i told her that isn't good because my FH is in the Marine Corps and going to Iraq in April to Nov. And she said well work around his schedule and pretty much hung up on me!! Well he doesnt have much of a schedule since he is going to Iraq! Then I called the deacon haven't heard back from him since we actually know a family friend who does Pre cana and she said she would do it for us!! But we need to make sure that is okay wiht our church.

We have to do it in March when FH is home for 2 weeks since that is the only time we have unfortunately.

Ughh sometimes I hate dealign with the church. I dont get these Pre Cana people. I know someone else who had a problem with finding out the day they started as well

Oh man! You should have wrote this post instead of me!!!! It's not like your FH is CHOOSING to not attend precana, he is going to IRAQ!!! Thats a pretty big friggin deal!!! Ugh I dont get people, I hope it works out for you!!!!

And thank you for the info about the other churches, if I don't hear back from my people within the next week I'm def going to look into that!!! Thanks again!!!
