I'm not sure if this post belongs here but anyway...here goes... My friend is getting married at the end of this November. The bridesmaid dresses are in and all we have to do is get fitted for them. I told her that I was going to get fitted at the end of October (because I'm pregnant) and she said fine. Practically every other day she calls me to see if I made an appointment yet for the last fitting. Just yesterday she calls and says, 'Well I guess since you didn't return my calls, you're going on your own to get fitted.' Am I on an alternate calendar or is it NOT the end of October yet?
Does she realize how sick I am? NO Does she call to see how I'm feeling? NO Does she care about anyone else but herself? I'll let you answer that question....
I'm getting really frustrated with her lately. I know that her wedding is important. But come on!!! If I say I'm going to make an appointment at the end of October, then RELAX already! Sheesh!!!
Sorry girls....pregnant and frustrated..

That is so RUDE! of her and really selfish. Tell her to calm down and not to worry because you'll get it done!

I agree that she is probably wrapped up in the details and she is immersed in her wedding... But, I can see from her perspective- if you plan on going the end of Oct- just make your appt, so you don't have to worry about availability so close to the wedding.

If you are pregnant, why would she even WANT you to have your laat fitting before the last possible moment. You would think she would be most concerned (besides for our health) with making sure it fit perfect on the wedding day and not be too small because you went too early.
She just sounds SELFISH!
Good luck!

Since i just went through the last months of my planning i can say that it is VERY hectic, VERY stressful and you naturally become self absorbed. I freaked out almost on a daily basis and yes my time was preoccupied with my wedding. So my friends had to understand that. She is not trying to be intentionally rude to you. I am sure she is just trying to get through these last months which are complete hell. Something a lot of us understand! Have a little patience with her. After it is all over i am sure she will be there for you.

UGH. bridezilla all the way. i'm sure she's not trying to be mena, just liek you're under undue stress being pregnant, she's under a lot of stress trying to put the wedding together. I'm not defending her not asking you how you are, etc, but she's probably just SO wrapped up, it's not that she doens't care!

She probably just wants to make sure that you are able to get the appointment that you need. She might be worried that if you wait too long to call and make your appointment, you won't be able to even get the appointment

Re: Annoying Bride...(Vent)
I thought I was the only one who saw her point...obviously because I'm planning a wedding and not currently pregnant my view is different. Since I had some trouble with a BM , I tried to care about that person and their day to day happenings...That might be something your friend failed to do...but remember in her life at this point it is about to be the most important day of her life...and while I am VERY sure she cares immensly about you and the baby, it's hard for her ( speaking from my own experience) to put someone else before you, or to say that her life and wedding is any less important then your pregnancy. So, annoying as she may be, can't you understand why? Have you been sharing setails of your pregnancy with her? Maybe shes waiting for you to share. No matter how much we as Brides to be would liek to say we are 'normal' we are not, and friends can get hurt accidently because it's very hard to re-focus our attention. My suggestion would be to talk to her and state that you feel that she stopped caring about whats going on with you while planning the wedding. Just remember, its only one day in her's and your life..and a little before prep time. You have a lifetime of a baby coming up where she will have ample opportunity to be there and support you.
JMO...please dont think I'm being negative.

I understand all the points of view. However, this is a girl who never has time for anyone else and is extremely selfish (even when she's not getting married).
She was in my wedding 2 years ago and had to be the center of attention...I won't get into details. I know how stressful a wedding can be, I was married 2 years ago and had problems with her because my bach. party was the same day as her birthday and she didn't want to come out with me. She's a very difficult person and has always been this way. I appreciate the advise girls...Thanks!!

Sorry to hear about the other issues...sounds like it then may be an issue with the friendship..as she doesnt sound like that great of a friend. My own wedding planning has had me re-evaluate friendships.
I hope it works out, maybe after its over you can address some of the issues to see if the friendship is worth the stress it seems to cause.
