I just joined LI weddings because I love reading the forum and hearing all of your great stories and advice, however since joining yesterday I've gotten over 50 emails and several phone calls all from vendors. Is there anyway to make this stop?I don't see any option to unsubscribe from emails/calls in my account. Id hate to deactivate just to stop all of the solicitation.

I created an email address just for the wedding. That's what I registered with and gave out at all the expos.

You can go back in to your profile and take out your phone number. That helped when I first signed up.

Every time I go to a showcase or expo or something, I always get a blast of emails. After joining this site, I did get a lot. But def give it time. It'll die down.

Yea it will die down...but there normally are unsubscribe options. I also set up a folder to just throw all LI Wedding vendor emails jic I needed a reference later on. Def not worth disabling the account though...this place is great.

OMG It is so annoying!!! And frankly, rude. I dont want to get text messages from a DJ or voicemails from a florist. I don't know why they think I am doing to book them if they call or text me? I mean who really books a photographer because they called you and say ' HI I GOT YOUR NUMBER FROM LIWEDDINGS.. YOU NEED A PHOTOGRAPHER?' I just hang up on them.

Yes I changed my number in my profile here and the calls stopped. It's overwhelming and annoying plus hello we're in 2014, most of us have our vendors selected/booked already.

I gave a rarely used e-mail so my regular one doesn't get bogged down with all the wedding stuff. This way all the wedding stuff is easier to find when I am ready to read the e-mails.

I hate the phone calls. But most are from my venue. I did unsubscribe to most of the emails.

For some reason now all those emails go straight to my junk (thank goddd!!) i get calls and texts from 'odessa photography' every week - so annoyingggg
