I'm in Ny to shop for the hall , we saw Fox Hollow, Very Nice, but I don't think its our style, My fi says the lobby is to small , but we were there Friday and it was full of people and it did seem a little crowded, but my fi really liked the sales guy, then we went to crest hollow and it seemed so big like a hotel sort of , I think I was at cresthollow for a sweet sixteen but I barely remember it, all I remember was everyone having to go to the lobby for the bathroom, but we havent ruled either out can anyone tell me about these two places,

What other halls are you looking at? If you tell us what you're looking for, we may be able to give suggestions

Re: Another 2 halls down 6 more to go
Im looking for a place with great food of course, indoor and outdoor photo options, comfortable, My fi hates being so crowded at weddings, impressive but not overdone. My concern about fox hollow is the lobby feels a little small, has anyone ever been there and encountered any issues?

normally when a decent amount of people start coming in but the CH isn't ready yet they let guests go upstairs to the bar in the restaurant (i think i spelled that wrong but you get the idea)..but if the CH is ready than they just let them go straight into the CH..i've been there a few times when there were weddings going on and i never considered it crowded..and i never heard the guests complain..they all seemed to be having a great time! HTH!

I'll admit I am a little biased, but I would suggest that you try the North Ritz Club - it is right down the road from Fox Hollow. They only do one wedding at a time so you definitely will not feel crowded, their food and service has gotten great reviews, and they have a beautiful outdoor area for photos.

Did you consider Jericho Terrace? I loved it as soon as I walked in to the lobby.

Jericho Terrace is in the lead right now, we were ready to book it, but it was the first place we saw so we came down this week just to look, the more we look the more I wonder why?

You should look at Floral Terrace. My sister had her wedding there and I loved it.

I recently did a tour of long island catering halls: the North Ritz was really nice and affordable. You may also try the Harrison House in Glen Cove-beautiful place although it does not fit more than 170 people. I actually booked Russo's on the Bay. There are no grounds for pictures but the food and service is amazing. good luck

Biased here too.... but I feel you can't beat Westbury Manor for indoor/outdoor picture taking.

Are you only looking into halls in LI? I actually booked with ElCaribe because of the excellent service and vast spread of food that they offer. We will have to go to a garden or grounds for pictures though
