not really tired even though i wanted to go to bed... but heres my ?
i got a $50 GC to Bed bath and beyond... we dont live together yet and i dont have a place of my own.. we spent other GCs we got in the passed on a nice set of pots and silverware but i dont know what else to get right away?? dont really need anything but from you girls who live with FHs already what are the essentials you need right away i would like to have them before we move in together!
hmm maybe bedding...and depends whats important to the both of you...a coffee maker, toaster, glasses, plates and forks...towels

well im moving into my new house jan 15th... then we are going to start putting togeter to apartment for FH and i upstairs asap. but not planning on having him move in till about 1 year before so june.
we got tons of GCs so i got drinking glasses, silverware, pots, cutting board, my parents bought us our everyday plates.
so maybe ill look into getting towels? sheets? since were going to be getting a new bed

but if you're not moving in soon then there are other stuff you can get at bbb with your gc...i put a couple of stuff on our registry that is not your typical home things. Good thing bc fh's brother got each of us a gift off our registry...he got me a homemedics massage chair cushion. And fh the ipod home speaker system. I also put exercise stuff on there lol. They also have keepsake stuff for weddings so maybe you can get that

yeah then maybe get sheets, pillows, blanket and all that stuff.

totally up to you but since its going to be a while, i would just hold on to it i know its exciting to shop but i'd wait and see what gifts you get over the next year and your taste may even change i'd wait til he moves in to use it

yeah true, and if you don't know yet how you're going to decorate then i wouldn't get certain things such as bedding, unless you do know how you plan on decorating the bedroom.

thats what i was thinking but i dont know if it loses value or not?... but the bed we are going to buy each other for v-day. since we each have a twin size and we kill each other.. so that was a good idea maybe ill get like a bed-in-a-bag kinda thing!

well im decorating right away since im living there already the bedroom isnt going to change. so ill just run everything by him first before i do it but he doesnt really care.. and im having my MOH paint a jets mural(sp?) on the walls of the whats going to be living room its a surprise.

there is usually a 1-800 number on the back of the GC - some lose value but not until after 12 months so you still have time but you can call the # to check the card's balance

i just got a bbb gc too and i think it doesn't even expire or anything like that...Even when i registered they said my registry is up for 2 years after our wedding date

most os them dont depreciate, but call the # or just read the back of the card if it doesnt say , then it does not lose value otherwise it will say, 'after 12 months the value of this card will lose blah blah blah' usually like 2 bucks a month or something

I believe as of 2 years ago that gift cards can never expire or lose value. They are considered the same as cash.
For Christmas I received the ionic jewelry cleaner from BBB and it makes my ring very sparkley!! (I believe that was $50.)
Something to think about because it's just good to have!

yes it is true that they are not allowed to expire because they are the same as cash however, after 12 months they (some companies) depreciate, not much
but i just used one i had for waldbaum's because it said that on the back of it
