Another Bathroom question

Can you tell we are working on the bathroom?

The bathroom in FH house is an ugly yellow /gold tile. But we arent in the situation to redo it right now. We are getting a new medicine chest - the one I like is an oak one.
What color can I paint the walls to update the bathrooms some?
If I did a light blue- would it clash? Or should I do a beige/tan? Or something else?

Any decorators out there?

When we saw the model to our apartment the bathroom was yellow and we bought light blue paint. Luckily when we moved in the bathroom was actually white. So I think light blue would be okay, but I guess it depends on your yellow too. Can you post a pic?

I would do a beige/tan color.

i dont have a pic of the tile. And I wont be going back to FH's till Friday. i am going to see if I can find something similar online

Yellow and blue can work beautifully, but you have to keep the colors in the same tone. If one is bright or dark, the other has to be as well. My opinion is to try to find your accessories first. For example a shower curtain with yellow in it, and work your colors from there. HTH

I HATE these tiles- but there is so many other things that need to be done before redoing the bathroom. I just want to make it look nice so I dont throw up everytime i go in there!

I think maybe I will try a beige

what about a really cool rust/orange. it would be ALOT of color...so it depends if you like that

but one of my friends did white walls with bright rust/orange towels and accessories and (while i would never think of it), it looked great!

I would do tan/beige or just white. The blue might look very 70s.

I'd probably go with beige to off-white and then go buy some light blue towels to see if you like the combo. I did yellow/blue towels in my last bath and loved it.
