So ladies, I finally got all my pictures uploaded last night. 800 proofs by 2 different photographers in black/white, color, wideangle lenses, shortangle lenses... I was going cross eyed!!
I'm in the process of typing my review with all the boring details. But I will say that boy howdy, it was the best day of our lives!
If you recall, we had a couple weeks of horribly crummy rainy windy weather. I resolved myself to having rain on my wedding day and had bought matching umbrellas for my hubby and I.
But heck if the stars didn't align or God shine down upon us or something, because the day's weather was glorious!
Saturday was great too, a little windy. But Sunday, WOW! We couldn't have planned it better. It wasn't overly hot, which is great because I'm a sweat-er (TMI, probably sorry!) and the wind died down quite a bit from the day before. Sunny skies, everything fresh from all that rain.
We only had one snafu. My hair/makeup girl was supposed to be at Mom's at 6:30am. At 6:15am, I start putting in my contacts and I dropped one in the sink. Not normally a problem since I always stop up the drain. But we couldn't find it! 15 minutes later, she was supposed to be there and I still couldn't find it. We started worrying about her when we found out that the wind from the day before knocked a big tree branch across the road. And there is only one road in and out to my parent's development!
Finally at 6:45 she arrived (in addition to the tree branch, she forgot the directions at home and had gotten lost), just as my Mom found the contact hanging from the edge of the faucet!
We still made it to the ceremony with plenty of time to spare, and that was the only problem the whole day!
We had our ceremony at Planting Fields Arboretum and our reception at Milleridge Carriage House. More details to come in the review but here are pictures from the day:
