another children question

another children question

I have two 7 year old fraternal twin cousins--yes, I'm 29 and I have cousins who are in 1st grade. Go figure. anyway. . .originally, FH and I said NO CHILDREN at our wedding, with the exception of two couples who have absolutely no choice but to bring their children under 5 years old. I have a feeling that some shiz is going to go down if I don't cave and say 'okay' to the 7 year olds if we're allowing a 5 year old, two 3 year olds, and two infants (one is my new niece/MOH's daughter) to come to the wedding.

Would you just say 'screw it' and let them come? FH thinks no, but I really don't think that's right.

In my opinion (no one get mad at me) since you already have all those other kids I would just let the 7 year olds come.

I have the same situation as you with first cousin's much younger then me. I kept the list to first cousins only , kids or not. I had to say no to me cousin who wanted to bring her kids.

I agree, if it really is just a matter of two more kids I'd rather have them there then deal with the drama for not inviting them. If it's gonna lead to more kids though I'd stand your ground.

In the grand scheme of things even though you didn't want kids, you are already having them so what's 2 more? It's probably not worth the drama and hurt feelings it may cause if you don't invite them.

Yeah, that's what I thought. I'm going to tell FH that to avoid drama, they have to come. Plus, at 7 years old, they'll be okay!!! They came to my parents' 30th anniversary party in late September and had a BLAST. They were really well behaved during that and were dancing up a storm. I think we need to include them!!!

I would just let them come. I have tons of kids coming since they are all my cousins children thus making them close family.

Are they well behaved? I would say screw it if they behave... you might not even notice they are there. I was against children, but how can I say no to my niece and 2nd cousins? My family is one thing.... friends bringing their kids is something I would def. not want.
