me and FI live together. neither of us have gone to church in the town we are living. We are getting married at my parents parish and my FI had to get the freedom to marry letter from his parish. The thing is that we told the priest we live together, but FI's old church parish wouldn't release the letter unless he was showing the address there..so he called and gave his parents address, and the church sent him the letter. Do you think this will be a problem since the addresses wont match, or can we tell the priest that he still uses his parents address??

I don't think it will be a problem. If he's questioned about the adress tell him to play dumb and just tell the priest 'oh yeah, that's my parent's address.' The church will probably think nothing of it.

WE had the same problem...we have used about 5 different addresses for the church (because we always get confused on which of us lives at which address ) and haven't had any problems...the only issue is sometimes letters go to one of our parent's house which really sisn't a big deal.

If and that's a big IF, the church asks about the discrepancy, simply tell them your FI uses that address for his mail. FI and I have been living together for 3 years, and he still uses his dad's house for mail.
