Another darn invite question -

Another darn invite question -

For the girls that are NOT having their parents host the invitation, (ie my invitation will say together with their parents, Ms. Georgia XX and Mr. Peter XY request the honor of your presence....)

Now on to my question - for the rsvp envelop - what address and name did you put down if you arent living with your FH now??

I would have put down our coop address but we havent closed yet nor do we have a closing date -

HELP!

I had all the rsvps come to me at my house. I was still living with my parents then.

I would say just put down an address that is reliable- where you know you will get the RSVPs back- whether that is your parents' house, or FHs place, whatever....

I put my parents name / address since it's being sent to their house (even though I've lived their all my life) ...

Plus I think I made my mother happy since I also did not put 'Mr. & Mr.s XX request the honor ...' I put it as FH& I hosted it ...

So it was a little thing that probably went a long way ...

Georgia,

Mine have both parent's names on it, but on the return adress, my parents adress is on the flap- no name. I don't see why you can't do the same... just put your parents address on it.

I was living alone,so I put my name & adress. If I was living home, I'd put either my name or no name & my parents address.

I wouldn't put the name of people who arent hosting it.

Thanks for the responses girls!

I think i am going to do what you just said - my name with my parents address - i guess it is just simpler that way -

I cant wait to approve the proof and NOT have to worry abotu this - i am stressing so much because i am afraid of making a mistake!

I hear ya! I'm waiting for my invites to arrive any day now and I'm so paranoid to even read them, I'm too afraid I'm going to spot a mistake that I missed on the proof!

I have the internet pic - but it doesnt show the inside - once i get them i'll take pics and post them -

I actually have a sample at home - if i have time this weekend i'll talk a pic of that - although I changed it a bit - the inside has two sheets of pearlized paper - the first sheet has our names and the second has the invitation wording - i'm changing the first sheet to ivory vellum -

Here is the internet pic - they are actually pretty reasonable with the exchange rate (because they are from canada) and the discount taht they offer

EXACTLY!! I am sitting here afraid to send it to hear - because i feel inevitably because of my luck i'm going ot have a mistake there!! I'm sure your's will be perfect!

Thanks!! This one was the only one that i consistently liked. I was dabbling with the encore box invitations for a while but i really didnt like them as much when i saw them in person - plus those were just too expensive - i'm paying less than half i would have paid per invitation for box ones.

Even though we paid for the wedding, I honored both parents by including them as in Mr. & Mrs. XXXX XXX and Mr. & Mrs. XXX XXX request the honor...yadda..yadda..thought it was a nice thing to do

Paying for the wedding isnt the reason for not putting our parents name on the invitation - its for personal reasons
