Met with another DJ last night. How do you girls pik your DJ?! its so hard b/c you can't really see them in action (besides clips etc...) do you jstu go on price? I am going crazy with trying to pick a DJ!
What is a normal budget for DJ? my budget in those planning books is CRAZY low, so I knwo I am going to blow it anyway lol but whats a reasonable price - for say DJ and mc and zap shots and uplighting?

when we went to LI Sound they have an actual studio with all the equipment set up and showed us all the lights and what not. That sold FH and we booked that day.

we went there on a Fri night and nothing was there. we are going to their showcase on the 10th at their studio though. we have seen them at weddings before and they were good. just a lil out of budget for what we want. but then again - how much is noraml for a dj?!

For us it was the price for what we got and the personalities of the people we booked with.
We met w/ 3 DJ companies and only one gave us everything we needed - others took stuff away and substituted things out to meet our price. So that was the big seller for us - we didn't have to give up anything we really wanted.
You just gotta go w/ your gut and if you can see them at showcases that is another plus - b/c other then their online clips you can see them in person.

We are going with FM Entertainment. We went to see them and they actually wen through introductions and everything live. So we go to see exactly what they sounded like.
It was awesome that we didn't have to watch a movie clip of them.
And the best part. Totally budget friendly.

Which MC are you using? We might meet with Frankie. We had to keep rescheduling with them and now 2 mcs are booked on our day.

We are booked w/ After Hours - saw them at a showcase and they are also a recco vendor of our RH. So we went into the showcase knowing about them and wanted to see how they performed.
But we looked at LI Sound and In the Mix as well.

I have heard FM play at weddings.. they are good. we are meeting with them next week. I have only seen Frank MC though. he was good. I would hope I can get him. maybe they will be more in our budget
