I did hours of research on this to see if anyone had problems with thier DJ and I just can't do it again. I didn't research prices bc I didn't feel right asking you how much you spent but I had a meeting with a DJ to find that they are excellent but pricey. I will do a search tomorrow but could would you mind telling me who you used, if you had any problems, and if they were under or over $1000?

Im using Masters of Ceremony. They have a good reputation and they have many packages that start at $700 I think. If you're interested I can FM you the info. The owner Andres is really nice and very accomadating to your budget.

We used LI Sound and they were awesome!!!! They were there with us all day; for the ceremony, CH, and reception and it came to $2,150. We had MC Chris and he did a great job, we were very happy!!!!!

FM Entertainment is very reasonable. Their wedding prices start at 700.. Def check them out.. we booked with them on the spot!

I used Vinny from High Voltage. He was excellent and his price is incredible. I think I paid $650 or $700 for and assistant and him. he did a great job and everyone was dancing all night!

i will be using vinny from high voltage. wedding is this sunday so i will do a quick post, so long as i have time, i may not before i leave for my HM.
i didnt even bother to meet with other DJs. i called a few up and their prices were out of control. one DJ told me i need something like club lighting, but half my guests are around 50. take a moment to think about your guests and their age group, etc. what will work best with them? IMO MCs are a waste of money.

Vinny is great!
I am using Vinny as well and his prices are fantastic! He was the first and only DJ I met with. I liked him right away! Definitely meet with him, and you will know what we are all talking about. If you do a search on High Voltage you will see excellent reviews on him. Good Luck!!

I am using Keith from Classie Sounds - my MOH went to two weddings from him and didn't even realize it was the same DJ, since he follows exactly what the B&G want - their packages start at $1550 the reception plus viennese hour, an extra $150 for the CH

Absolute Entertainment!!! They exceeded our expectations, and our expectations were high from the beginning! We worked with Kevin, and he was phenomenal!!! They are very reasonably priced. We used everything, the plasma screens, and light show...we just knew that the DJ and MC set the vibe for the wedding so it was most important to us. We sat down with a few companies and when we sat down with Kevin, we knew right away they were it!
