Now that we all know how much everyone is paying for a dj, may I ask who everyone is using? I really have no idea where to start with this, as most of my friends have used bands. So, is there anyone I must see, or anyone I should steer clear of? Thanks ladies!

Go see Music by Michael, he is a vendor on this board. He is totally different than the guido, sparkly bow-tie wearing, fluffy head DJs that dominate LI. I was totally taken by how patient, professional and intelligent he was. He's totally hi-tech and his equipment is as elegantly displayed as DJ equipment can be, not to mention he is reasonable. If you are looking for a DJ that is going to get out on the floor and dance, make shout-outs, and yell 'Everybody Scream,' don't even bother making an appointment with Michael. That is so not his style.

I have not booked a dj yet but i have heard nothing but great things about Get In Tune entertainment and Bodyrock djs those so far are the two im setting up appointments with.I will let everyone know how it went.

I got married in October, so I can actually give you a review of Music by Michael. Definitely my favorite vendor - 100% dedicated to making your wedding exactly what you want - he is very personal and accessable, stays in touch all the time, he even helped me out with questions that had nothing to do with DJing. If you are interested, he also does an amazing and affordable photo montage!
