another DOC question

ok i'm trying to add one to the budget

i KNOW that day of... we're all going to be extra nervous and panicking and a huge mess....

at the same time our hall provides a matire d' and 2 bridal attendants....if i get a DOC, what is the purpose of the RH ppl ?

would it make sense to hire a doc to help from the time we're getting ready to the beg of reception??

i'm confused .

it's really up to you and your budget whether you should get a DOC. If you have family or friends who can take care of any situation that may arise before the reception then you don't really need a DOC. And yes, your Maitre' D and bridal attendants are there to make sure everything goes smoothly during the reception.

I booked a DOC because I needed someone to make sure I keep my sanity. I get stressed out easily and a DOC is perfect for me.

FH and I were wondering the same thing. We've been going back and fourth all week about it. We're meeting with Bleu Diamond Events tomorrow and I think I'm going to ask her if she'll do a package from like 10:00 that morning until only like 3:00 when the church starts. I know other places have that where you can get them for only a few hours rather than buying a package.

I hired Tara from Exquisite Affairs Production and they actually have a package for 7 hours as opposed to ten so she stays till the first dance and then the matire d' and bridal attendant take over. The package is $550.

Lol, that is exactly why I chose to get a DOC. I also booked with Exquisite Affairs Productions. I booked the Something Borrowed package, I think I have Christine for 5 hours.

My friend had Christine for her wedding back in 2007 and LOVED her. I got her pricing as well but I got a better vibe from Gina at Bleu Diamond. Hopefully it works out tomorrow and I can convince FH that we need one (as of right now he's fighting me to the end that we don't)

Re: another DOC question

The RH people won't be in tune with you and your wedding plans as much as your DOC. Then there are things that the DOC would handle that the RH won't, like more personal issues that might arise.
The DOC will be more aware because of all her prior planning with u

Yea, I am using her. My sister just used her last month for her wedding and Lisa did a fantabulous job. She was so helpful even before the wedding and the day of...OMG she went above and beyond our expectations of her. She has helped me with so much already its not even funny. You can't go wrong with Lisa.
