My mom is paying for my gown...b/c they are also paying for my wedding I don't want her to have to spend more than $3K for everything. I was going to go check out Kleinfeld but is my price range inadequate for there? If I went to one of those trunk shows could I find something in that price range?

On Platinum Weddings, the Kleinfeld saleswoman said that their gowns start at $3k.

I would maybe go there for the experience and to try on things to get an idea of what you like.
I don't think you are going to find something there though for $3K including everything

You could go there and pick something out-- insist that your mom only pay the 3k and then you could pay whatever it is above that on your own.

Its a good place to get ideas of what you like because they have such a wide variety and then maybe take the style you want and get it from another salon.

I know that Kleinfeld's dresses start at $1500, so its a possiblity you may find one there. If they're having a trunk show that day, you get 10% off.

Kleinfeld has a great selection and you can find something for 3k. However if you find something you like you can always shop around for a better price.

When I made Nina's appointment they told me the gowns start at 1800. and go up. You can try calling to verify that first.

I got everything - dress, headpiece, veil (long veil) and alterations for $3100 at Kleinfelds. If you buy all 3 of the things there, they give you about 12% off the whole purchase and if you have a BM or family out of state and get it shipped there, you don't have to pay tax.
I had a great experience there and definitely recommend them!

Dont know about klienfelds but I went to a bridal store in Lynbrook and they had some great dresses for under 2K

right by White Castle? I went there too with a friend getting married. Their selection/price were very good!
She got a gourgous dress for only 700!

I only bought my dress from there and they gave me the 12.5% discount. Just tell them that $3k is your limited and you don't want to spend over that..that way they only bring out dresses in your price range.

It's a good place to look, they have all the designers there, so you can shop around and campare prices elsewhere. the experience is fabulous...
