Another dress question
I found 2 dresses that I absolutely love, and I plan to go back in another week or so to narrow down my decision. My question is, does anyone know if organza fabric wrinkles easily? Both dresses I liked were satin on the bottom, with an overlay of organza. The saleswoman said the fabric wouldn`t wrinkle (the sample didn`t look too wrinkled) but I want to be sure. What fabrics should I avoid? Thanks!

Another dress question-Teri
It depends on the organza, is it polyester? poly mix? silk? I first looked at a polyester organza and then tried on a silk organza, the difference is incredible! As with anything else it depends on the quality, silk organza will not wrinkle as easy as polyester organza. When I looked at the two dresses coming out of the bag here's what I noticed- after being crammed in and out of the bag the silk was not wrinkled and the poly was. The way I see it it's worth spending a little more for the silk, that way your not walking into the ceremony with a wrinkled skirt.Let me know if you have any other questions. Continued success to all!

That's surprising! I figured the silk would wrinkle much more than the polyester. I'm not sure what type of organza it is, but I'll ask on my next visit. Thanks Heather!

Organza
Dear Gals I too tried wedding dresses on this weekend and they sound pretty similar to what you gals were trying on. I loved this one dress that was organza with an overlay of toule with a bunch of beads on it. It was beatuiful but my mom had a problem with it b/c she said that the toule looked like it would wrinkle a whole lot. I told her that this was part of the style of the dress but she did not agree with me. If you want to see if the dress wrinkles, while in the dressing room take a piece of the dress in your hand and crinkle it together and see what it does. This is generally a good indication of the type and quality of material. Good luck to all with your dresses...I'll keep you posted with mine! Vickfl77
