Another eBay/Paypal Q

I got payment today but Paypal emailed saying I need to upgrade to Premier or Business to accept credit cards! (there are fees associated of course! )

Is that what everyone else does?

yes...you need to factor in price of selling things and kinda bump up the price a bit to make paypal a wash...

so instead of selling a shirt fo 5 bucks, sell it for 5.50 Over time, the percentage they take will add up (this is how paypal makes money). You can make up this charge in shipping also (do flat rate shipping regardless of location)

i just logged on to paypal and yes, im a premeir person....

for exampe...i sold something for 75 on ebay, and i was charged 2.48 from paypal..

its 2.9% +30 cents...

it makes life simple... waiting for checks and money order = slow and annoying. if you become a merchant account and make a ton of income (over 3000 in billed items) then the percentage is lower.

This is similar on how MC/ VISA/Amex/Discover make there money... transaction fees

2.50 for 75.00 is ok in my book for a few..
