::sigh:: so my wedding isn't for another year and half and my FSIL is already asking me if she can bring TWO guests?!?!?!?!??
to catch you guys up...she finally deleted her nasty blog about us and sent me an apology letter (via myspace of course ) and i pretty much wrote her back saying she was crazy and even one guest can't be guaranteed that she'll be allowed to bring.
FH and i talked about only including guests for people who were married, engaged or in a long time serious relationship (she just started dating her 'boyfriend' like two weeks ago and she's already talking about bringing him specifically ) we also said that any out of town guests that didn't know anyone else ..it would be best to let them bring a guest as well.
she is driving me nuts!!! really it's like talking to a brick wall...so you know what her response was?!? that she was going to give us $2000 for the wedding and then the next sentence was ' i just have to bring someone i would go crazy if i had to go alone'...meanwhile her whole family will be there and all of alan's friends as well. do you think i'm being rude?! i mean it's too early to tell ...we haven't even booked our RH and only have a tentative guest list..so I don't know if my family is going to pay $100+ for her to bring someone we don't know...or even worse..a girl friend of hers ..its like this is OUR wedding...why do you need to bring a friend...????

for her to bring a guest isn't bad.. but to bring TWO, thats not right.. this isnt her day.. which is what she's been tryin to do from the beginning...

i wouldn't make the situation any worse than it already is. just tell her it's too early to be talking about the specifics of the guest list as your wedding is over 1.5 years away. by the time you have to send out invitations you might not even have to deal with her asking these questions.

Why would she need to bring 2 guests? I would let her bring one guest if she is dating someone.

We are sticking to if anyone has a SERIOUS relationship then they can bring a guest.....and if anyone tries to pull that adding one person to the RSVP when they shouldn't we will call them and just say no I am sorry.
I feel like I sound bridezilla-ish, but it really comes down to money and I know I would never have the b*lls to ask if I could bring someone so when people do that it just gets under my skin....some people just have no sense of what is right!

two guests.... that's out of hand. one, maybe, if she's dating someone. but two?
BTW, you're making progress.... i'm glad she apologized and removed the blog. the two guest thing just sounds like she's being dense, not offensive.

insanity! your poor thing.....i def think you need to let her bring one guest more so for your sanity, or you'll never hear the end of it....but she is FH sister and shouldnt be snubbed a guest, but 2 guests!?!?! in what world does she need someone on each arm??? shes not 8 where she needs play buddies to keep her occupied!
