Another God spinoff...

Why do bad things happen to good people? why are people murdered and why do babies die and why do people have miscarriages?

lilmrs post got me thinking, especially about my friend who lost the baby, and it is really bringing back all of the feelings of sorrow and doubt and anger.

My poor friend who lost the baby had bought a house and they were fixing it up and the pipes burst, causing a huge flood, and lots of damage, and then the radiators broke, (more money) and then her car died, so she had to buy a new (used) car, and just last week she got into a car accident and totalled her husband's jeep... now they dont' have enough money to buy a new (used) car.

She is one of the best people I know. Why does bad stuff happen to good people?

i don't know really but i got to believe there is a reason for everything...whether you know it or not at the time!

I don't know, I wonder the same things when I hear about horrible things happening to people. I don't know if I believe everything happens for a reason - there are just evil people in this world that do bad things to other people, and horrible accidents happen to people and I don't think these things happen for a reason, they just happen.

I don't know if there is a reason for everything and this is where is struggle with wondering if God is really in charge of it all.

I know that people I know who have a strong faith in God/Jesus believe that it's all in his hands and somehow their faith gets them through it all.

But I still wonder...why can so many bad things happen to one person, especially a good person. I feel like that about my mom. She has had pretty bad luck in life for a lot of years and she has a really strong faith so do you believe it's just random or is it what god has planned for her to go through?

I have to agree. Things always happen for a reason even if while we're in the situation it seems awful and hopeless at the time.

I don't know why people are murdered though. I suppose it's like I read in a book once--if you accept that there is a God, then you have to accept that there is an opposite force to that.
