For those of you that went to Hawaii, which island did you go to first, second, last, etc. When you fly to Hawaii to you fly directly to the island or do you have to fly into Honolulu and then take a charter plane to the island you are going to. Thanks.

Re: Another Hawaii question
We flew from Newark to Honolulu (direct flight) and then took a connecting flight to Kauai (5 days) then we went to Maui (5 days) and then back to Honolulu (2 days.)
This worked out well because Kauai is a smaller and more relaxed island which we def. needed after the wedding and after such a long flight.

Re: Another Hawaii question
I have not gone yet but I am flying Directly to Maui first with a stop over in LA, then taking anintercontinental flight (aloha airlines) to Kuai. We will flying home from Kuai to NY with a layover in Sanfransisco.
Hope that helps..
I was told to go to Kuai last because it is vrey relaxing and more romantic than Maui..
your call though.

Re: Another Hawaii question
Flew Laguardia to Dallas to Honolulu. Honolulu to Kauaii (Aloha Air). Kauaii to Big Island. big Island to Mauii. Mauii to St. Louis to New York.
If you can go direct ... DO IT!!! It would have saved us close to 5 hours!
Aloha & Hawaiian air are the local inter island airlines. They are reliable, but book fast. Its also open seating, not assigned ... no big deal .. takes about 20 minutes to get anywhere!!!
I would recommend Kauaii last not because it was so relaxing (although it was) or romantic (that too) .... THERE'S A LOT TO DO IT KAUAII!! But b/c the accomodations are so much better there ( at least as far as the Hyatt's go) , if you go there first, you'll be spoiled by it!

Re: Another Hawaii question
We flew direct from Newark to Honolulu, stayed there 3 nights, flew to Kauai for 4 nights, and then to Maui for 7 nights. From Maui, flew back to Honolulu and got our flight to Newark from there. I would not change the order we did the islands if I could do it again- it was great for us

Re: Another Hawaii question
We are goign to Maui first then Kauai. I wanted to do the reverse since I figured right after the wedding I would want to relax, etc and after a few days we would be ready for some things to do. The hotel we wanted to stay in Maui was booked the second week . . .
