My FFIL passed away two weeks ago. I know it's bad timing, but I have to order my invitations. I asked FH a while ago about how he wanted to word the invites (son of Joe or 'in sprirt'). He wants it to just say 'son of...'. I know I sound petty and I will end up doing whatever FH feels more comfortable with, but is that okay?

I am so sorry about your FFIL. I don't know what etiquette would say but I feel it's ok because it's so recently - that's just my opinion though - I don't know if it's 'right'
