Ok so I'm going to place my order for the invites.... this is what we came up with......is the wording and spelling right??
We followed our hearts to the kingdom of romance…
On this day of enchantment and love, we BRIDE and Groom request the honour of your presence at our marriage on Sunday, the eleventh of November Two thousand and seven at eleven-thirty in the morning The XXXX XXXXAvenue XXXX, New York

Re: Another InvitationQ....I know I'm a pain LOL
You are not a pain at all...Just a few weeks ago I was annoying you girls with the exact same thing..
1-Are you getting married a church or ur RH?? The reason I ask is because I was on one of these wedding websites and it says you should only use 'Honour of your presence' if you are getting married at a place of worship..however my invites were already done when I read that..so I let it be. Just a thought...
2- This is optional..but a lot of girls on this site like to debate whether you should put the AND in Two thousand and seven..versus leaving it out and writing Two thousand seven, again, its optional.
Other than that..it looks great!
ETA: One more thing..I noticed you put the time for your guest to be there at 11:30am...is that when the ceremony begins?? If so, you may want to have them come 30mins earlier so that all the late arrivals..actually come on time..

I ditto everything Mildred said... Since you're at the hall, the wording should say 'request the pleasure of your company' instead of honour of your presence.
For a church wedding I would NOT recommend doing a 1/2 hour earlier, but since it's at the hall, I've usually heard of everyone doing 1/2 an hour earlier because there's less time to waste or make up if you start late. I would do 11:00.
HTH!

I WOULD NOT MAKE THE TIME DIFFERENT, IT SHOULD BE THE EXACT TIME AS THE CEREMONY, COCKTAIL AND RECEPTION, OF COURSE PLEASE DONT TAKE THAT THE WRONG WAY, BUT I USED TO BE A PHOTOGRAPHY AND HAVE DONE MANY MANY WEDDINGS AND IT IS THE MOST TALKED ABOUT THING GUESTS COMPLAIN ABOUT,

I originally was going to put 3pm on my invites...but I know sometimes guest get lost, or they wake up late yadda yadda..and by the time you know it guest will be showing up 30mins late..and missing the whole ceremony...I dont know, I just think 30mins is a decent amount of time for guest to be there before the actual ceremony begins..

Wow... I didn't know the presence and company meant different things... I'm getting married outdoors, but put honour of your presence... does it matter?

I agree. Dont make the time any earlier. Its like saying to your guests 'well...we didnt think you were smart enough to show up at the REAL time'
Also, there are always people who show up on time or earlier....so if you make the time a half hour earlier theres going to be a lot of people who end up getting there like an hour before the ceremony starts....and they'll be PISSED.

Well, I guess everyone's family is different. I personally dont think anyone in my family is going to think, 'Oh, does she think Im not smart enough to get there on time..' Again, Im talking about my family...I dont know about anyone elses. I would much rather everyone be there 30mins early (and some al ittle earlier) then for them to come at 3:30pm when the ceremony is over..JMO

I made a mistake...I didn't see the 'we' at the end of the line before your names. sorry...
I don't htink you should mess with the time. People have told me that if I put 3 PM, people will show up at 3:30. IMO, that is their problem. I think if you really want to be somewhere, you should make the effort to be on time. And if some people show up 15 minutes early, they would be waiting for 45 minutes or more!
