Another invite q: when you DON'T have inner envelopes...

Another invite q: when you DON'T have inner envelopes...

My invite does not come with an inner envelope- instead it is a navy wrap that holds it all together, so there is no room to address the inner envelope.

I presume this means I'll have to add the 'and guest' to the guests name on the OUTER envelope.

My sister will be doing the calligraphy...naturally calligraphy has larger lettering...how can you fit
Mr. James Smith and Guest
or
Mr. and Mrs. James Smith and Family
on one line?

Then there's this example- I have my aunt and her daughter (she's 16)
Do I address it this way?
Ms. Jane Smith and Miss Jean Smith
or
Ms. Jane Smith
Miss Jean Smith

Now when there are more than one kid, I just do
Mr and Mrs. James Smith and Family right?

ugh sorry for all the questions!

Thanks!

Re: Another invite q: when you DON'T have inner envelopes...

for instances where theres two names i put them both on the same line

Ms. Jane Smith and Miss Joan Smith

but if you like the way it looks better on two separate lines, i dont see any reason why that would be wrong

and yes for more than one kid i put and family. i actually did if there was only one kid and a couple:

Mr. and Mrs. James Smith and Family

as for fitting it on the envelope, i dont know, i had mine printed so i cant be of much help

tell your sister to write small?

here is an example of how i addressed my envelopes...

Mr. James Smith
Ms. Ann Jones
1 Name Street
New York, NY 10000

I did not have inner envelopes so everything was on the outer envelope.

Re: Another invite q: when you DON'T have inner envelopes...

here is a site i used as reference when addressing...i did bellybands with my guests names around the my pocketfolds...you can just follow the inner envelope suggestions and put it on the outside i guess.

Ooooh you just gave me an idea! Our invites have this band that goes around the wrap (quasi-pocketfold). Maybe we can put a label there? hmmmmmmmm I dunno..

Thanks everyone!
