Re: another invite question
I believe I read in one of my books that it is considered poor etiquette to include any 'gift info' with a wedding invite.

Most people give money for the wedding b/c gifts are for the Engagement and Bridal Shower. If you get a gift from a place you registered at you can return it for money.

I think its poor etiquette. People usually give cash for weddings anyway and if you are not registered, or do not supply registry cards in your wedding invites than cash is most likely what you are going to get.

Yes, I agree.. It is poor etiquette.. If you get any gifts, just return them to the store they were bought it or bring them into a store for credit.. Anyway, how many people bring presents anymore..

Yes, I think its rude. Most ettiquette books say that the bride and groom should not 'expect' any gifts at all. We all know that most people will give gifts (in money or other forms) but you should never EXPECT it.
With that said, most people will give money. There are usually only a handful of people who give actual gifts. But I definately wouldnt put anything on the invite indicating what you prefer -- it will get some people really mad.

Re: another invite question
Basically let everyone in your bridal party and immediate family know you want money. They are suppose to spread the word around for you.
