The house we are buying has one bathroom, but supposedly the levitt cape is set up to have a second bathroom upstairs. I heard that all the pipes are there, is this true? Is it easy to put a second bathroom upstairs? Right now the space is a closet, and we could put a half bath in there.

I have never heard that before. We have a 2nd bathroom upstairs but it is not where the closet is, because the previous homeowner dormed just where she wanted the bathroom. I wouldn't think that Levitt would have put pipes there because the original Levitts were unfinished upstairs. You were supposed to use upstairs as an attic, not as rooms. The only reason I can think of that the pipes might be there is that the downstairs bathroom is right below that spot.
