Another mini-drama....

Another mini-drama....

Surprisingly between this, that, and the other thing...I am really not all that stressed right now.

Anyway, here's the deal. One of my BMs is apparently mad at me and the MOH. She is the MOHs sister. What happened is she told us she could not attend our Bachelorette Party weekend because she had to work. Somehow, it got miscommunicated that she couldn't attend AT ALL when in fact she said that she wanted to be at the brunch that Sunday morning.

Under the assumption that she was working and couldn't make it, we didn't call her Sunday morning. She is now totally pissy 100% of the time with me and the MOH. We have apologized profusely, offered to take her out (she refuses), I bought her dinner one night, I had her over for Pina Coladas, etc etc etc... we've done EVERYTHING to try and make it up to this girl and she is STILL giving us the 'No, nothing's wrong' treatment.

I really really do not want this attitude on the day of the wedding. What can I do at this point???? I feel like I've tried everything and she just isn't getting over it. She's turning 32 in a couple of weeks btw.

Re: Another mini-drama....

The next time she pulls this with you, ask her point blank: 'What can I do to make you stop being mad?'

The reason that may work is that she will realize she's being unreasonable. You told her you were sorry. You said it was an accident and didn't mean to blow her off. You've tried making it up already. It's NOT the end of the world for her is it? So for you to say 'what else can I do' --- it will make her realize that she's being silly.

If that doesn't work then, I think you should tell her to get over it - she's not a 10 year old and it's not like it was done on purpose and you've told her that already.

If she still acts this way - just ignore her. Because by that point I would think she knows darn well she's acting silly and won't let it go.

Sorry about the drama....

Sorry about some of the drama you have to deal with now. I am sure you will have a wonderful day. How is the rest of the planning going?
