There isn't a marriage bureau office in midtown. There's only one downtown on Centre St.

Just drive around and see, there's no street parking right by city hall because of security, i'm sure there's garages but you'll just have to drive up and around the streets....but honestly, there's about 6 trains that stop within a couple of blocks of city hall so you're not going to be walking far at all. IMO much less effort than driving in and fighting traffic and trying to find a garage. Where are you coming in from?

Agreed - i used to work on centre street - much easier to take a train. most of the parking is taken by court and fed employees. anything available you're going to have to walk further anyway.
good luck!

We can just take the train in from Secaucus Junction (NJ) it's about a 12 minute ride to Penn Station. I was just wondering how to get from Penn to the place??

From Penn take A train downtown to Chambers St. When you get out you're going to walk east only one block to Broadway. When you hit Broadway, City Hall Park will be right in front of you, (it's not a real park, more like a concrete park with some trees). Walk through the park and you'll see a HUGE building in front of you, that's 1 Centre St. You have to go to the right hand side entrance (when you're facing it) of the building to get in. They'll be a small security line and then you go up the office, I think it's the 2nd or 3rd Floor, the security guy will tell you when you get in where to go. It's easy.

Also, just a tip, but when you get on the platform, try to get towards the back of the train, this will leave you out closer to where you want to be, cause when you walk to Broadway you want to be somewhere between Murry and Chambers St.

Do you need to have a birth certificate as one forms of proof to get your license? My birth certificate is in a foreign language plus missing at the moment so I was wondering if I could show some other form of ID besides my drivers license.

honestly, if you do find parking it will be further away from city hall than the train station so you would have to walk even further once you park.
