Hmmm...I posted a new topic and it disappeared...let me try this again...
On Monday night I put down a deposit at Patken, but now I am wondering...
Do most photographers prints out WEIRD sizes now? They offer: 20x20 11x11 8x8
FILs said these are HORRIBLE sizes Are these sizes hard to find frames for?
I'm gonna check out Duet today.
Anyone have any comments??:

Re: another photography question...
they are that size probably because a lot of wedding photographers use a square size film... not 35mm which is more rectangular and the average size you find... you can always get them custom framed or trim the print to fit pre made frames...

Are you sure that thats the sixe printe you'll be getting and not the ALBUM size? A lot of people get square albums, but you can order prints in more normal sizes. I know my sister got her proofs and they were basiclaly square. And yes most photographers use medium format i;m which is less rectangular and more square so it lends itself to a squarer picture if you want the most information. The bottom line is that anything cna be printed in any size/shape, and you need to talk to your photographer about it. As far as framing is concerned, you can always mat the photos so they fit in a more 'normal' size frame.
