another QOTD!

aside from your gown and e-ring, what's most the most special thing you're wearing on the big day?














My mom saved my Baptismal bonnet and I know that she's going to give it to be my hankie..... I'll prob pin it to my dress. So that is very sentimental. I don't plan to wear any other jewelry other than my simple stud earrings and my e-ring. And I STILL need SHOES!

2 things.

My FMIL is letting me borrow her grandmothers diamond and saphire tennis bracelet. (old, borrowed, blue)

And.

I am taking a piece of lace from my mothers wedding dress (just gonna cut it) and dye it blue, then have it sewn into the crinolyn of my dress.

i nowsome people wont get it but my blue converse for the reception....its my somthing blue and im proud i stayed true to myself....even though everyone around me told me i HAD to wear heels i said i wanted to be comfy and dance so im glad i stuck to my guns

I would love to wear my old sapphire and diamond ring from FH, but unfortunately it was sized for my left ring ringer, and will NOT fit on my right, not matter how hard I try.

I don't really have anything special to wear. All my jewelry is new, even my something borrowed and blue was bought brand new for the specific purpose of me borrowing it from my mother. My something old is my mom's lace hankie that one of her aunts in Switzerland gave her for her wedding, but I will be keeping it in my purse, not on my person.

The garter that my grandmother purchased for my wedding years ago before she passed away

My old, borrowed and blue is the same item. It's my great-grandmother's rosary beads. I am going to wrap them around the bouquet.

My great-grandma gave them to my grandma before she passed away. My grandma gave them to my mom a year or two before she passed away. They are beautiful blue crystals.

My mom is so excited for me to borrow them.

My mom and I have to go through our storage room and look for a 'something old' sentimental thing.

So until I have that found & figured out, I'm most excited about wearing all the DOJ that Haute Bride made for me. I ended up working with the head designer/owner Lindsie (luck of the draw!) through lots of emails, and she customized every thing for me-you've seen all the pics. It was so wonderful to be part of the creative process with the designer herself! And then for her to say that everything she made for me is her favorites she's ever done! I was floored.
We've actually now become email pen pals and going to dinner when she travels to NYC for market week in October.

AMAZING!! your photog should get a pic of the blue converse peeking out of your gown.
I love love love that!

My parents bought me a beautiful pendant necklace and matching stud earrings from swarvoski (or however you spell it!) to wear for the wedding. I fell in love with them through the window one day and told me mom how beautiful they were. A few days later she surprised me with them. I never expected her to get them!

Answering this in the PAST tense but I think it was def my DOJ which I also had custom made and helped with all the design from shape, stone color, etc. . it was soo much fun to have something I know no one else will have and I was going to buy it for myself and the DH surprised me by buying it for me AND a matching necklace which he had one of my BMs give to me day of ..
