Another question...

Another question...

So we had 7 no shows at our wedding which was ok cause we told the hall 5 less because of some of the older people that were iffy. But we did have 1 couple, friends of DH that did not show up. They sent us an invite to their wedding, totally last minute, I think they felt bad that we invited them and they felt they had to invite us. The RSVP date was on our wedding date, and we got the invite about 2 weeks before. We sent it in the day before our wedding that we were coming. So our wedding came and went, and they did a NO SHOW to our wedding after RSVP'ing yes! I'm pissed, because its rude, no call, nothing. So we said yes to their wedding, I know its probably not the right thing to do, but would you do the same to them?

that is rude that they didn't show up to your wedding and didnt say anything. If something happened, or came up then you should've at least been told ahead of time. Or at least a phone call after to explain and appologize. Its hard to say but its your call, seems like you are upset with them and you have reason to be. What does your DH think since its his friends? by any chance have you heard from others why they didnt come to your wedding?

If you dont want to go anymore, what i would do is let them know now, yes they didnt show you that courtesy but this way at least you will come out looking like you at least do the right thing, and make them feel stupid that they couldn't do the same.

I would be the better person and cancel, even if very last minute, but at least let them know.

i want to see wedding pictures!

DH is upset too. I mean I could understand if something happened, but the wedding was 2 weeks ago, and not a call or anyhting since. Granted we were away and got back on Thursday, but still, at least a voicemail or even an email. I told DH to wait on sending the RSVP to their wedding cause I had a funny feeling they'd do it. I've only met him once or twice, but its one of DH's old friends that he rarely sees.
I want DH to call him and say sorry, but something came up or we had plans for something that I didn't know about and tell them we can't make it. It ***** having to pay for someones plate let alone 2 plates. DH doesn't want to call him cause he feels what they did is wrong. Their wedding isn't for another 3 weeks, so we still have time to think about it, or for him to even call us.

Yea, that is the right thing to do. I just have to try and convince DH of this!

I will have them soon! I have to go through my 1000 emails and get them all downloaded.

well seems like your DH is pretty upset about this too and yes it does S*CK paying for 2 ppl's plates and not showing up and never telling you anything, not even after the wedding.

I would ask him to just call and say you cant go, or tell your dh that if he prefers you to call to give you the number and you'll do it.

Thanks! I think as their wedding gets closer, DH will come to his senses and just call him and say we can't make it.
