Can a Cantor sign a Ketubah if you are not being married by a Rabbi?

that's a really good question I always thought it had to be a Rabbi but I could be wrong!!

My jewish wedding was performed by a cantor and he signed the ketubah. That doesn't mean that the ultra-religious would approve -- I have no idea what the strict law states.

The ceremony and Cantor we might be using is reformed so I guess we may be ok if we decide to go with the cantor. I guess I should just ask him.

I have a family friend who is a cantor and according to him, cantors can marry and sign the ketubah.
