Re: Another Registry Question:
I'm gonna register and BB&B and macys. But I really want $$ because I'm moving to Florida after the wedding. BTW on the 07 boards, certain brides were registering just for the free gifts even though they're not going to use them. I'm also considering that.

Re: Another Registry Question:
Fortunoff has a great program., you get points and may use them for purchases after the wedding from your registry.

You are actually in a good position. Take it from me wait to buy stuff for the house and put it on your registry. We moved into our house in September before we got engaged and spent a lot of money on all brand new stuff. I am having a really hard time finding stuff to add to our registry. I am registered at Fortunoff so far and will prob register at BBB. If there are things you really really need then buy it otherwise I would wait for your bridal shower. Don't forget you will be getting house warming gifts from people also. Those were nice little surprises. What I would focus on if I were you is decorating. It can get really expensive. I am still not done. Like I said we bought everything brand new so if I could do that over again I would probably have waited...Then again I didn't know I was getting engaged. Hope this was helpful

Re: Another Registry Question:
I didn't answer the whole question. I'm gonna register about 3 to 4 months before the wedding.

Re: Another Registry Question:
We registered at Fortunoffs already, but I know we're going to add seasonal stuff (towels, bedding, etc) later. Maybe even at another store, probably Macy's.
ETA: People kept asking us before our e-party where we registered, which is why we did it so early.

Re: Another Registry Question:
we started registering. We only did some things at Linens and things so far. I think Macy's is next or maybe william sonoma!
I think i did it at a pretty good time. some people wait, I guess it's whenever you're ready

Re: Another Registry Question:
i did it a while back and trust me pain in the butt! Wait till at least 7 months before your wedding. Things will be discontinued or your mind will change on things. Its really fun to register just easier to do it once and not mutli times like i have done.
I did Macy's and BBB .. best return policy! You will need to register for your shower just odds and ends that are inexpensive that you want or need and maybe two big items this way hopefully you will get money for your wedding and no presents.

Re: Another Registry Question:
I was thinking fortunoffs and Crate N Barrel-- I just love that place! We already have SO much-- but I'm holding off on buying GREAT quality stuff so we'll still need the top of the line small appliances-- like a kitchenaid to match my kitchen & a foor processor-- and good china, knives, pots etc. Hopefully I'll be able to find some small stuff! We dont need towels or bedding and we just COMPLETELY remodeled our hose so I know I won't be switching bath linens when it took me 5 months to pick them & designed my whole bathroom accordingly!!!

Re: Another Registry Question:
We registered at Macys and Fortunoff so far but only for our china, crystal, flatware and pots and pans. when it gets closer (about 6 months before) we will register at BBB also for our linens.

Re: Another Registry Question:
We registered at macy's and Fortunoff's for our e-party. We put stuff like our china and candle holders and vases. we will also get one at bed bath & beyond. Will do that this summer when it's closer to the 1 year mark.

Re: Another Registry Question:
we're going to register at fortunoff (for the fancier stuff) and target(for the everyday stuff). i actually started the fortunoff registry online. we're probably gonna actually go to the stores some time in june or july. i'm afraid if i do it too early some things might not be available at the time people are actually gonna go shop.
fortunoff also have a cash back offer. if you open a credit card there you get money back for every purchase your guests make from your registry regardless how they pay. for every $1000 purchased you get back $50 i think. and you get that after your shower date to buy whatever you want.

Re: Another Registry Question:
We don't actually need that much stuff since we've lived together for a while....but we registered at target, which has surprisingly cute stuff. And you can do the registry online in the comfort of your own home. We looked at the website and took note of the stuff we liked, went to the store to check out the quality, etc...and then did the registry at home.
