another registry question

another registry question

this may sound dumb, but should i register for china at both bbb and macys?

bbb usually has a cheaper price, but when macys has sales, they're great and you get free dishes and bowls. also, you can use coupons at both stores and some people might not shop at the other store.

i figure this way people can decide on their own where they want to buy it.

i would love to say that i'm not going to stalk my registry, but i know i will and if i see people buying my china, i can always adjust the numbers.

good idea / bad idea / thoughts?

you don't think it's a bad idea, but you may get some duplicate items if you do this because an iten will only come off your registry at one place.

I registered my china at both BBB and macys I pretty much just split it between the two stores.

I did all my China at Macys. I think they kick back a percentage of the total spent later on and plus the moms get a deal too.
I used BBB just for the cheaper stuff (with the exception of luggage b/c they had that at a much better price than Macys)

Re: another registry question

When I registered for china at BBB she told me that if macys has a sell people can bring the flyer and BBB will match the price.

I had it that way at first but moved them all to Macys cause IMO you get much better deals with the buy 3 get 1 free and the sales that often apply.. sometimes they do the free soupbowl too... BBB might have the 20% off but I still like Macys better for china

oh, plus I got a free vegetable bowl automatically mailed to me for completing all my settings.. It was $119 and already on my registry and one day it was marked as fulfilled and then showed up on my doorstep

I wouldn't do china at both. I did my china at Macys because of the sale, coupons, bonuses, etc.

If you do get at both - you can return for store credit for at either store - that way you can use the money towards things you need in the future or things that you didn't get - HTH

i registered for 12 at both some people like bbb better because of the 20 percent coupon and its closer

my mom is now in charge of my registry and will adjust the numbers if anything gets bought.

Macy's all the way! You get 10% of the total sales from your registry after your big day.

I'm so sad. Seriously my original registry was forutnoff and the price was SOOOOO much cheaper than Macy's, even on 'sale' and you almost always got the free soup bowl.. AUGH. How I miss it!

Re: another registry question

i wouldnt register for the china at both because some people wont look at both registries and you may end up with 20 sets of china!

Re: another registry question

I would register for the china at both places, and just check the registry (or have your MOH check) to make sure you are not getting duplicates.
