another ring question

I dont know if it can be seen from the pics but FH has small fingers. He is a size 8 ring. I know nothing about rings but I see other brides talking about 8mm and so on. What do I need to look for when I look for his band (he is not in country to go with me) considering the size of his fingers. At this point all I know is that I am looking for at least 1 1/4 and up carat.
I heard when he brought my ring he was very choosy as well because of my long slim fingers. I want to put in as much hard work as he did for me.

4mm is very thin. IMO its too thin and you can barely temm theres a ring on the finger. I would recommend, for small fingers, you go with a 5mm. Its a nice in-between width. FH also doesnt have large fingers and we liked that size for him.

When you go to a jeweler, they can show you different thicknesses and you should be able to judge pretty well.

5mm I think sounds good too. If you go to a jeweler ask them to show you the different sizes so you can see what the measurements mean
